Jim Murdoch is a British video game writer. He is known game writing called Rise of the Robots. He also published a novelist based on the same name. He's been spent a solid six months writing the world's first ever full-on (85,000 words) computer game novelisation. It must be said that the novel was rather better received than the game. To be fair to the game, it was the first of its type to use 'rendered' wire frame models.
He has been worked in commercial and creative roles in computer/video games since 1991. Prior to this, he spent 7 years in the corporate video business, ending up in a niche which eventually became 'interactive video' where computers met tape and laser discs, which used with MS-DOS 5.0
