Administrator Help[]

How do I use Administrator powers?[]

See the administrators' how-to guide for a guide on using admin functions.

Becoming an Administrator[]

For you to become an Administrator, someone with bureaucrat access must make you one. On some Wikias, there will usually be a community page for requests, with a page name such as "Rise of the Robots:Requests for Adminship". Alternatively, you may simply ask on the community portal or Forum, or ask a bureaucrat directly on his or her talk page.

If there are no active bureaucrats and you wish to become an administrator, please contact the community staff on the Central Wikia.

What can Administrators not do?[]

Administrators should not use their administrator powers to settle editing disputes; for example, to lock a page on a version he or she prefers in an editing dispute that isn't vandalism. Administrator powers should be use to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith. Ideally an admin shouldn't be considered "in charge". The ideal admin is just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the Wikia community.

Moderator Help[]

How do I use Moderator powers?[]

In the Wikia's chat room, as a moderator you will have a few more abilities. You are able to kick someone, which will temporarily boot someone out of the room, which is generally used as a warning. You can also ban someone, which once clicked will give you a list of optional times for however long the person should be banned. The more severe the situation is, the longer the ban may be.

On the Wikia itself, as moderator, you will be granted rollback powers. These let you instantly undo multiple edits by a single person.

Becoming a Moderator[]

For you to become a Moderator, someone with Administrator or Bureaucrat access must make you one. On some Wikias, there will usually be a community page for requests. Alternatively, you may simply ask on the community portal or Forum, or ask a bureaucrat directly on his or her talk page.

What can Moderators not do?[]

Moderators cannot under any circumstance abuse their kicking or banning abilities (random kick/ban, kick/ban without reason). Moderators cannot abuse their rollback powers (such as undoing valid edits with malice).
